Things became more confused as I continued to try and communicate the experience in half English, half German. The last thing that I remember was a needle in the arm and fading off to sleep. Thus ended part of my first experience. Looking back at my experience, I have often wondered why it has remained so clear in my mind for so long. I believe it might have something to do with our emotional investment in reality.

It is very difficult to explain the type of excitement one feels when you suddenly see your imagination displayed before your eyes. I had never been to the Museum before. But at that moment in time, I knew that it was the very building I had laboriously constructed in detail within my mind. I found that I wanted to kick myself for having not paid attention to all of the minor details which were now flooding through my mind that I remembered seeing during the session but had failed to speak of or draw.
