The writers, by listening to their hearts, were showing us the best ways to assimilate a new poetry genre. During WWI she was a active and strong supporter of the Whitmanite movement which was a social and spiritual movement based on the works of Walt Whitman. Since then Kathy has published more than 2 dozen works including picture books, novels for young adults, historical fiction, short stories, biographies as well as several other works of non-fiction. I think of Spain as my touchstone—especially Madrid—because I have been here at so many different points in my life. We created a website, produced a brochure and were soon appearing at libraries and festivals throughout the country to promote our work.
